We are seeking an organised and career-minded Apprentice to join our growing business. This role is designed for a proactive individual who wishes to develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations. You will act as a vital link between our Creative Studio, the Manufacturing Shop Floor and our Global Clients.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to begin a career in business administration while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice
Location: Washington, UK
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
Apprenticeship Level: Level 3 Business Administrator
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the office team and Directors, including data entry and document preparation.
- Maintain accurate records within electronic databases and filing systems.
- Support meeting coordination, including preparing materials and taking notes when required.
- Assist with HR and recruitment administration tasks.
- Support finance-related administration, including processing payments, chasing supplier statements, inputting timesheets and reconciling daily payments.
- Learn to organise domestic and international shipments, ensuring delivery notes, labels and export documentation are accurate and complete.
- Provide clients with order updates and estimated delivery times under supervision.
- Monitor office supplies, including stationery, printing materials, workwear, and cleaning products, placing orders when stock levels are low.
- Collect staff timesheets, update sickness and holiday records, and assist in maintaining Health & Safety documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
- Support effective communication between the creative studio and manufacturing team to help projects run smoothly.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Organised: You enjoy keeping tasks on track, have a strong attention to detail and can manage multiple priorities effectively.
- People-Oriented: You feel confident communicating with everyone, from workshop colleagues to high-end clients.
- Tech-Savvy: You have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and are eager to learn new systems such as Scoro and Hubdoc.
- Reliable: You understand the importance of punctuality, accuracy and maintaining thorough records.
- Proactive: You take initiative, following up on missing receipts, timesheets or other tasks to keep processes running smoothly.
Entry Requirements
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred).
You have a genuine interest in how a business operates and are keen to learn all aspects of office, client and operational processes.
