A well-established law firm in Wakefield is looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join its small, friendly office. This is a fully office-based role and would suit someone who is organised, reliable, and able to provide strong secretarial support in a busy legal environment.
Ideally, you will have some Family Law experience, although candidates with solid legal secretarial experience in other areas of law may also be considered.
The role will involve:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to fee earners
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Liaising with clients in a professional and sensitive manner
- Managing diaries, appointments, and meetings
- Preparing files and legal documentation
- Handling telephone calls, emails, and general office administration
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary
- Ideally some experience within Family Law
- Excellent audio typing and document production skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A professional, empathetic, and client-focused approach
- The ability to work well within a small office team
