Crynodeb
The post-holder would be expected to assist with covering colleagues when they are unavailable. This can be offered prospectively with job planning, or ad-hoc with additional compensation. The Obstetrics and Gynaecology on-call rota comprises 1:14 weeknights: Monday-Thursday, approx. 20 per year, mix of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and average 1:7 weekends. Labour Ward is covered by a Consultant of the Day, and Gynaecology is arranged into Hot weeks 0800-1700 Monday-Friday Labour ward is covered by a Consultant Obstetrician for a minimum of 82 hours a week. This comprises Monday-Friday 0800-2200, Saturday and Sunday 0800-1200 and 2000-2200. Unpredictable clinical work may necessitate Consultant presence outside of these times.
