Part Time Bookkeeper – Doncaster – up to £35k (pro rata’d over 3 days)
Bookkeeper:
A family owned manufacturing company in Doncaster, need an experienced bookkeeper on a part time basis to manage all day-to-day accounting functions, focussing on high-level financial accuracy, VAT compliance and month-end reporting. You will be working with a small friendly team in clean and bright office above the factory.
Duties:
You will manage the full bookkeeping cycle including all daily financial transactions, ensuring accurate coding and posting to Sage 200 as well as performing month-end closing processes, accruals, prepayments and depreciation journals.
You will prepare and present monthly P&L, Balance Sheet and Budget Variance reports for the Managing Director and work closely with external accountants to ensure year-end accounts are verified and compliant.
The position has been created by releasing another member of staff to concentrate on their other duties full time, they have found that 3 days a week is enough to comfortably complete all the above as well as quarterly VAT returns, daily reconciliations of all bank accounts including foreign currency and ensuring supplier invoices are authorized and paid within agreed terms.
Requirements:
For someone with at least 3 years experience in a similar full-charge bookkeeping role, this is a lovely part time position with a well-established business.
It requires advanced proficiency in Sage 200/50 and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables), AAT Level 3 (or qualified by significant experience).
You will need thorough understanding of Double Entry Bookkeeping and Trial Balances and have a meticulous approach to data entry and complex account reconciliations.
The bookkeeper will be expected to work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a salary up to £35k, pro rata’d to up to £21,060p/a
Hours: 8am to 5pm (40 mins for lunch)
Holidays: Standard 25 plus stats (usually 8) pro rata’d to 19.5 (including bank holidays)
