We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site Contractor Escort in HMP Swansea.
The hourly rate is £12.82.
The standard hours of work are part‑time, 39 hours over 2 weeks. The role follows a fixed 2‑week rotating pattern:
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday — 24 hours total
Week 2: Thursday & Friday — 15 hours total
Daily hours: 08:00 – 17:00 with a 1‑hour unpaid lunch
At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons.
By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
The Contractor Escort plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
What you will do:
Safety and contractor checks and monitoring
Site induction duties
You will also be flexibly deployed to provide a range of other support service activities within operational areas of an establishment when required, including aiding contractors working on site
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
What you will bring:
A professional customer/client focused approach to service delivery.
Able to demonstrate a committed, flexible and enthusiastic approach to varying duties.
Ability to follow and adhere to instructions and relevant safety policies and procedures.
Full UK driving licence.
Security and safety conscious.
Able to challenge potential compromises and risk.
