Simman Solicitors, an SQM-accredited law firm, is seeking an experienced IAAS Level 2 Immigration Caseworker to join our growing team at our Croydon office in London.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied caseload of Legal Aid and private immigration, asylum, and human rights cases, providing high-quality legal services to the local community.

We are looking for a motivated professional who can manage complex immigration matters while ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency (LAA) requirements and the firm’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage a caseload of Legal Aid and private immigration and asylum matters, including appeals and judicial review cases
- Prepare and submit applications, supporting evidence, and tribunal documentation
- Take detailed client instructions and maintain accurate case files
- Handle detention and fast-track cases where required
- Ensure billing, compliance, and file management are maintained according to LAA requirements
- Conduct regular file reviews to meet SQM and regulatory standards
- Maintain case records using the firm’s LEAP system
- Provide excellent client care, particularly in sensitive human rights matters
- Tribunal advocacy experience is desirable but not essential

Requirements

- IAAS Level 2 Senior Caseworker accreditation (Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme)
- Registered with the Law Society as a Level 2 Senior Accredited Caseworker
- Proven experience in publicly funded Immigration Law (Legal Aid / LAA work)
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload without supervision
