Applications are invited from an NMC Registered Nurse for a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow in Nursing (Mental Health) on a part-time (0.6 fte) basis. You will support development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing curricula. The School has a clear vision for the future nurse and to achieve this, our use of simulation within pre-registration nursing programmes is exceptional.
The successful candidate will be able to effectively articulate their contribution to developing the Future Nurse and an ability to contribute to effective and safe person-centred care in our undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. A commitment to the provision of a high-quality, student focused educational experience is important.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a small micro teaching session followed by a formal interview.
Although the post is available as either a Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow, only one appointment will be made. Please note each post has a different person specification / job description. You should indicate in your supporting statement whether you wish to be considered for the Teaching Fellow or Senior Teaching Fellow position.
Whilst there is a need to be in Portsmouth a few days a week, hybrid working is available for this role.
The interviews are currently anticipated to be held on 20 April 2026.
