We proudly serve the NHS, completing over 800,000 essential journeys every year. With 12 operational bases and a dedicated team of over 800 passionate professionals, we deliver safe, caring, and high-quality care across the country.

What Can You Expect?

You'd be joining us as a Mental Health and Stakeholder Manager, working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, and will report directly to the Mental Health Operations Manager. This is a hybrid role, combining time at our Exeter First Care Base with remote work and travel to our Plymouth base as required.

In this role, you’ll support and guide our crews, nurture their wellbeing, and help keep the service running smoothly during busy or challenging periods. You’ll build strong, meaningful relationships with key partners across the ICB and Trust, act as a central point of communication and escalation, and contribute to a service that truly puts people first. With plenty of autonomy and real opportunities to shape positive change, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, purpose‑driven environment and wants to make a genuine impact every day.

Summary Of Main Duties Include:

Manage the day‑to‑day running of the local TRAS service, including staff rotas, timesheets, ordering equipment, handling local incidents, supporting recruitment and induction, and helping with Court of Protection paperwork.
Work with the quality team to support compliance checks, audits, research, and collecting feedback.
Help the fleet team by booking vehicles in for servicing, MOTs, and repairs.
Work with HR on recruitment, staff wellbeing, and performance issues.
Collect, analyse, and write up data for research projects.
Regularly gather feedback from patients and other professionals.
Prioritise patient transport needs to ensure transport resources are used efficiently.
Offer staff debriefs after any clinical incidents.
Carry out staff appraisals, support staff development, and help manage any performance or disciplinary concerns.
Make sure all staff are up to date with required training. Complete regular audits for training, compliance, and personnel files. Work with trainers to ensure mandatory training is completed.
Follow all organisational policies, legal requirements, and confidentiality rules, including HTG policies and the Data Protection Act.
Complete safeguarding training and report any concerns to the Mental Health Service Managers.
