Salary rage: £30k to £40k DOE
Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, pension, healthcare, and additional benefits
Location: Field-based (UK) - Slough
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Are you looking to build a career in a specialist engineering sector? We are expanding our team and seeking a motivated Junior Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of water treatment systems. Whether you already have hands‑on experience or are looking to grow within a niche field, we offer full support and development to help you succeed.
We are working with a leading provider of water treatment solutions, supporting clients across multiple industries and ensuring their systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably. Our equipment includes carbon filters, water softeners, reverse osmosis units, membrane systems, chemical dosing pumps, and associated control instruments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of water treatment systems, including filtration, softening, dealkalisation, RO/membrane systems, chemical dosing skids, and control equipment (pH, conductivity, chlorine, flow meters)
- Supporting planned maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and emergency callouts, helping diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or chemical dosing issues
- Producing accurate service reports, including recommendations for system improvements or upgrades
- Following all company and client health & safety protocols, ensuring safe working practices at all times
What We're Looking For
You don't need direct water treatment experience-just the right mindset and a technical foundation. Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:
Technical Background- Experience in service, maintenance, or engineering (water treatment ideal but not essential)
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, pipework, dosing/control equipment, or industrial process systems
- Mechanical or electrical fault‑finding ability
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of health & safety practices (training can be provided)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel as part of the field‑based role.
