Airport Operative / Driver (Category B) - Birmingham Airport
The Best Connection are currently recruiting Airport Operatives / Drivers (Category B licence required) for our client based in Marston Green, operating within Birmingham Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy airport environment with full training provided and the opportunity for regular weekly shifts.
Role Overview
The role involves operating an Ambulift vehicle on-site at Birmingham Airport, supporting passengers who require additional assistance when boarding or disembarking aircraft. You will be working as part of a professional airport operations team and will be responsible for delivering a safe, efficient, and customer-focused service.
This is a customer-facing position, so candidates should have strong communication skills and a professional approach when assisting passengers. The role also involves manual handling and medium to heavy lifting, therefore candidates should be comfortable with physical work.
A valid Category B driving licence is required to operate the ambulift vehicle. Full training will be provided before carrying out duties independently.
Working Hours
- Shifts may fall on any day between Monday and Sunday
- Start times may vary week to week, including days and nights
- Typical shift length: 8-12 hours
- Overtime shifts may be available
Pay Rates
- £12.21 per hour during the training period
- £15.19 per hour once training has been completed to 100%
Requirements
- Valid Category B driving licence
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns
- Must be able to pass full airport security vetting
- Training will be provided
