We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join a brand-new ISS contract, supporting a busy and high-profile catering operation.
This role will work closely with the Catering Manager to organise and control all aspects of the service, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with budgetary, client and company standards.
Job Description
We are looking for someone who can lead a team of 10 to deliver consistent excellence, serving up to 1,000 people onsite.
The site is particularly popular for cooked breakfasts, snack pots, a deli bar, fresh baguettes and pasties.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Catering Manager and KAM to deliver a high-quality food service.
Oversee the production of meals in line with budgetary, client, company and statutory requirements.
Ensure food quality aligns with current cooking trends and high street expectations.
Plan, coordinate and order all food requirements.
Follow standard recipes and production planning in line with client numbers and company policies.
Build strong client relationships and support the introduction of new initiatives.
Maintain profitability through effective cost control and supplier compliance.
Recruit, train and lead the kitchen team, ensuring engagement and consistent service standards.
Communicate effectively with all team members and ensure prompt meal service to agreed standards.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Strong background in contract catering with experience managing a large kitchen team.
Previous experience in a similar Head Chef or senior kitchen role.
Experience in hospitality food production.
Level 3 Food Safety certification.
Professional, clean and well-presented at all times.
Pleasant, engaging and committed team member.
Proven record of strong attendance and reliability.
Ability to work unsupervised and confidently lead a catering operation.
