We work closely with a range of inclusive Corby schools that put pupil wellbeing and tailored support at the heart of everything they do. These settings provide nurturing, structured environments where SEN staff can truly make a difference. You'll be part of teams committed to supporting students with SEMH needs, ADHD, autism and other learning differences-helping them reach their full potential.
What You'll Be Doing
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Assist with personalised learning plans
- Support emotional regulation, communication and social development
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Promote positive behaviour and consistency in the classroom
Each day brings variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact on pupils' confidence, skills and independence.
What We're Looking For
- Patient, calm and reliable individuals
- A genuine passion for SEN support and child development
- Willingness to undertake training (e.g., autism awareness, SEMH strategies)
- Motivation to improve outcomes for young people
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Desirable (but not essential)
- GCSE/O Level or equivalent
- A driving licence (beneficial for certain school locations)
