The programme focuses on helping learners develop confidence, independence and practical life skills while encouraging engagement with education and personal development.

The successful candidate will work with prisoners who may have previously disengaged from education and will play a key role in helping learners rebuild confidence in their reading and numeracy abilities.

The programme uses engaging, adult-focused themes including:
• sport and fitness
• work and employability
• entertainment and film
• everyday life skills.

This approach helps learners build reading and numeracy skills while developing confidence and motivation to continue learning.

• Experience supporting adults with literacy or numeracy development
• Ability to engage learners who may have previously disengaged from education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver engaging small-group and 1:1 learning sessions
