Job Summary
As a Maintenance Employee, you are responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical infrastructure to ensure a safe, comfortable, and fully functional environment for guests and staff. Your role includes performing routine maintenance, responding to service requests, and supporting the overall operational efficiency of the property.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. General Maintenance
• Inspect and maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior grounds.
• Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, appliances, and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
2. Preventive Maintenance
• Conduct scheduled inspections and servicing of equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
3. Safety & Compliance
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Participate in emergency response procedures when required.
4. Equipment & Inventory
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and request replenishments as needed.
• Keep maintenance areas clean, organised, and secure.
5. Guest Interaction
• Provide courteous and professional service when addressing guest concerns.
• Ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance activities.
Skills & Requirements
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.
Work Schedule
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on-call for emergencies
