The Role
Are you an experienced carpenter looking to make a difference within the North Devon community? North Devon Homes is seeking a carpenter to join our Multi-Skilled Operatives within our Response & Void team. You’ll deliver high-quality improvement, repair, and installation activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out a full range of Repair & Maintenance to a professional standard, whilst being highly productive and working with minimum supervision.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers to deliver an efficient, customer-focused repairs service.
Maintain excellent service standards and represent North Devon Homes professionally.
Support continuous improvement and promote our values and culture.
Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and operational protocols.
Manage van stock and issued equipment effectively.
Participate in out-of-hours service provision when required.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in delivering high levels of customer service.
Competency in fitting worktops, lock& latches, fitting & repairing uPVC windows & doors; replacing fence panels &posts; replacing floorboards; replacing timber internal & external doors & door furniture.
City & Guilds Level 2 Qualification in carpentry or similar.
Full, valid UK driving licence.
Strong knowledge of construction activities and Health & Safety legislation.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
