We are currently recruiting for a well experienced personal assistant with background in supporting individuals with EUPD and Autism, a background in Mental Health and Autism is essential. This role will involve supporting a lovely 31-year-old lady within her home setting. Louise lives with her partner and two children, and they have 2 adorable dogs who are a great comfort to Louise.

Louise has a diagnosis of EUPD and Autism which presents with extreme challenges for Louise. There are carer support hours included (3hrs) to allow the main carer weekly respite. The role will involve supporting Louise to accomplish daily tasks and to integrate back into the local community.

You will be required to accompany Louise to her weekly appointments and stay with her during the appointments to ensure her welfare and to ensure she arrives and returns safely from them. Louise is keen to get back into weekly shopping routines and visits to her favourite coffee shops or food outlets, she enjoys visiting Hexham and Newcastle City Centre. Accompanying the client on dog walks will be required so you must be comfortable with working in an environment with dogs.

The role would also include supporting Louise to create a weekly meal plan for the family and batch cooking will be involved in the role, both hands on and in a supervisory capacity if Louise chooses to engage in the cooking. Risk assessments are in place currently and a keen vigilant approach is required for all activities.

Louise has some long-term goals in place which include getting back to taking her children to school and collecting them, so you would be required to be available to support Louise in achieving her goals. This role may include some light domestic duties if required and support to encourage Louise to achieve her goals daily and long term.

A car driver is required for this role and Louise does have a car that you may be required to drive.
