Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of tyres on a variety of vehicles. The role may also require you to run the depot during staff holiday periods. The Tyre Technician will ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Inspect tyres for wear and damage, providing recommendations for replacement or repair.
Remove and install tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment.
Balance tyres to ensure smooth operation and performance.
Perform routine maintenance on tyre-changing equipment and tools.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Assist customers with tyre-related inquiries and provide excellent service.
Keep accurate records of services performed and inventory levels.
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to tyre installation and repair.
Strong understanding of vehicle systems related to tyres.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety practices are followed.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective customer interaction.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Must have a driving licence.
