Job Overview
Role: Nursery Manager (1-Year Maternity Cover)
Location: West Thamesmead, London (SE28 0AX)
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, 40-45 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (Shifts between 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
Lead and inspire the staff team, conducting regular supervisions and appraisals.
Maintain strict compliance with Ofsted regulations and the EYFS framework.
Manage nursery occupancy, parent inquiries, and community engagement.
Ensure robust safeguarding procedures and health and safety standards are met at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualification: Minimum Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare (Level 5 or Degree in Early Years is highly desirable).
Experience: Proven experience as a Nursery Manager or strong Deputy Manager looking to step up.
Knowledge: Expert understanding of EYFS, Ofsted inspection frameworks, and safeguarding legislation.
Skills: Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
