Crynodeb
BusyB offers a wide range of pet care services. Doggy day care, daily group and 121 walks, cat and small pet visits, dog training and grooming. We also have a pet shop, selling a range of natural treats, locally made and supplied pet accessories and a wide range of raw food.
A fantastic opportunity to join a fun and friendly team undertaking a wide variety of industry tasks.
Duties will include;
Assisting on daily day care walks.
Setting up for the day
Supervising the dogs
Ensuring environmental enrichment and welfare whilst in day care.
Assist with dog training.
Helping on lunch group walks when required.
Bathing dogs and general grooming.
Cleaning and maintaining the day care to a high standard.
Serving customers in the shop.
Cleaning and ensuring the day to day requirements are met.
Merchandising stock, social media and advertising.
Desired Skills and Qualities
Computer skills.
Creative and social media knowledge an advantage.
Love of animals and a desire for a career with the industry.
Desired Qualifications
Applicants must not already hold a level 2 in animal care or higher.
Maths and English GCSE or equivalent grade c/4 or higher desirable but not essential.
Future Progression
After completion the successful candidate could be eligible for a level 3 animal care apprenticeship.
Full time employment for the right candidate if a position available within the business.
Supervisor.
Training
Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Animal Care & Welfare Apprenticeship Standard.
The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

The apprentice will be working to build a portfolio of evidence and will be required to pass a knowledge test and an End Point Assessment (EPA) to complete the apprenticeship.
