Are you an experienced HGV Technician seeking a stable and rewarding opportunity? Our client, a reputable family-run recycling and transport company based in Milton Keynes, is actively looking to recruit a dedicated HGV Technician to join their workshop team. This is an excellent chance to work for a well-established business that values skilled technicians committed to delivering high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Benefits:
- Up to £22 per hour, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday working hours, 7:00am – 5:00pm
- Occasional Saturday mornings, paid at 1.5x
- IRTEC qualification funded
- HGV licence training provided

Duties:
- Conducting six-weekly inspections as part of vehicle maintenance schedules
- Preparing vehicles for MOT testing and compliance
- Performing general servicing and repairs on a varied fleet
- Diagnosing mechanical and technical issues efficiently
- Ensuring all vehicles adhere to high safety and quality standards
- Managing workload independently, including parts procurement
- Maintaining accurate documentation of vehicle repairs and service history
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ proven workshop experience working on HGVs or similar commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- A valid Class 1 or Class 2 licence is advantageous; training can be provided
- Experience working on construction or specialist vehicles is beneficial but not essential
- Proactive attitude with the ability to manage own workload efficiently
