Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity within a reputable, family-run automotive service centre? Our client, a well-established independent garage operating for over 40 years in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, is actively recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team.
This Vehicle Technician role offers competitive remuneration, a comprehensive benefits package, and excellent long-term career development prospects within a friendly and professional environment. Duties:
- Diagnose faults accurately and efficiently, reporting findings to the Garage Manager
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles
- Conduct comprehensive inspections to assess vehicle safety, reliability, and performance
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety protocols and quality standards during all work activities
- Keep detailed records of work performed and communicate effectively with team members and customers when necessary
- Support the continuous improvement of workshop processes and service standards
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications such as IMI/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be advantageous but are not essential; strong 'time served' experience on a variety of repairs, including clutches and cambelts, is highly valued
- Valid UK driving license with minimal points
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality vehicle repairs in a busy workshop environment
- Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Motivated to meet targets and contribute to the overall success of the workshop
- Candidates with a Class 4 MOT licence or willing to undergo training in this area will be considered favorably
