What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and welcome applicants from both experienced teaching assistants and non experienced teaching assistants.
The successful candidate will:
• Provide 1-1 or small group support to children with SEND needs
• Assist in implementing EHCP and personalised plans under the direction of the SENCO and class teacher ● Support communication and interaction including children who are pre-verbal.
• Support children with personal care needs - including nappy changing
• Support classroom activities to ensure full engagement and full participation for all pupils
• Promote a positive and safe learning environment
• Provide opportunities for developing independence
• Monitor student progress and report back to the class teacher and SENCO
• Communicate effectively with staff members and parents regarding student progress
• Value all pupils as individuals and put them at the heart of everything you do.
• Make learning fun and challenging.
• Be able to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Work in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
• Follow child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection policies and procedures, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person
