Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)

Overview
We are supporting a well-established, forward-thinking GP practice in recruiting an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their clinical team. This role is ideal for an experienced ANP who thrives on autonomy, variety, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in primary care.

Why This Role Is Attractive

  • High levels of clinical autonomy with the ability to independently assess, diagnose, and manage patients.

  • Supportive multidisciplinary environment with GPs, practice nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and an experienced admin team.

  • Excellent working culture focused on teamwork, development, and delivering patient-centred care.

  • Career progression through funded CPD, specialist training, leadership development, and opportunities to shape services.

  • Well-organised practice with strong systems, streamlined workflows, and a proactive approach to patient care.

    Role Snapshot

    • Managing a varied caseload of acute presentations, long-term condition reviews, and urgent on-the-day demand.

    • Undertaking clinical assessments, investigations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

    • Independent prescribing and medication management (or willingness to undertake the qualification).

    • Providing evidence-based care across all age groups, including complex patients.

    • Contributing to chronic disease management, health promotion, and preventative care.

    • Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

What the Practice Looks For in an ANP

      • Strong clinical reasoning and confidence in autonomous practice.

      • Sound knowledge of primary care pathways, long-term conditions, and urgent presentations.

      • Excellent communication with both patients and colleagues.

      • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage workload within a busy practice environment.

      • A proactive, adaptable clinician who is eager to contribute to a progressive practice.

        What the Practice Offers

        • Competitive salary package aligned with experience

        • Support with additional training and advanced modules

        • A friendly, stable team who value collaboration and shared learning

        • Modern clinical facilities and digital systems

        • A practice committed to innovation, quality, and staff wellbeing

          Ideal Candidate Profile

          • Registered Nurse with MSc/PG Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice (or working toward)

          • Independent Prescriber (V300) highly desirable

          • Experience in primary care, urgent care, or community settings

          • Confident in managing undifferentiated presentations

          • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to continuous development
