Cover Supervisor – Maternity leave coverGrade 6 SCP 18FTE £31,537Actual salary £25,13335 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8.15am - 3.45pm)Term time only plus Trust Development Day and 1 additional school INSET DayStart Date: May 2026Closing Date: 24th March 2026Interview to be held: To be confirmedWorking in classrooms directly with our students, our Cover Supervisors play a pivotal supporting role in raising standards of achievement.The Successful candidate will provide high-quality cover to classes in the absence of the teacher, supervise classes across the curriculum following a programme of study during the short-term absence of their class teacher, actively engage with the class and follow all classroom procedures as per the classroom teachers' instructions.You will be conscientious and self-motivated and always working to support and motivate students. You will become a role model for our students and instill high expectations from the work you will be asking the students to complete.The ideal candidate will have:Good educational background with experience of subject backgroundKnowledge of using different IT softwareRelevant experience of working with young people in a learning environmentA clear and positive communication mannerEnthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team, as well as on own initiativeInterpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents, and other outside agenciesAbility to remain calm and professional at all timesSupport the School policies on safeguarding and child protectionFlexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeepingFull training will be provided.Safeguarding Statement: Ralph Allen is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children: the successful applicant must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post including checks with past employers and will need to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
