Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for Bank Nurse to join our team based in Oswestry. As a Bank Nurse you will have the flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts, supporting the team by providing additional cover for absence and holiday. In return, our Bank Nurse will receive a competitive rate of £24.99 per hour, plus unsociable and weekend enhancements.

About the Nurse role:
Hope House Children’s Hospice has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (Children’s Nurse or Adult Nurse (RN) with paediatric experience) to join our care team to provide excellent specialist palliative and end of life care to children and young people. You will be a self-motivated and compassionate nurse working as part of a supportive team to provide holistic care to children and young people with complex, life-limiting conditions. You will preferably have a minimum of two year’s post registration experience.
As a Bank Nurse you will be expected to deliver a high standard of individualised care to children and young people with complex nursing needs. The ability to integrate quickly and work as part of a team is essential and in return we will provide you will a comprehensive induction and access to relevant staff training opportunities.
This role is ideal for nurses seeking flexible working opportunities, who are able to respond to shifts as required whilst maintaining the highest standards of care.
You will continue to develop your knowledge and clinical skills enabling you to deliver the highest standards of care, which supports our values and ethos that no one should suffer the death of a child alone. Whilst maintaining and enhancing your skills, you will have the opportunity and time to build meaningful relationships with children and their families, which make these incredibly fulfilling roles.
As a valued member of our team, you will be providing care to children and young people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting and life-threatening condition. You will have the compassion and communication skills to put the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.
We are looking for a Bank Nurse who:
Demonstrates an understanding of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care
Has excellent communication skills
Sets high standards of care and is a good role model
