3-Man Groundworks Gang: Major Civils Project (Carlisle)

Location: Carlisle, Cumbria

Rates: (Negotiable based on tickets)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Ongoing

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an established, reliable 3-man Groundworks Gang to join a high-profile civil engineering scheme in the Carlisle area. This project involves complex infrastructure works, including deep drainage, structural concrete (FRC), and high-spec finishing.

We are ideally looking for a "ready-to-go" gang who have worked together previously and can hit the ground running on a fast-paced Tier 1 site.

The Gang Configuration:
  1. Ganger / Working Lead:

    • Must hold SSSTS and First Aid at Work.

    • Proven ability to read drawings, manage site permits, and lead a team safely.

  2. 360 Excavator Operator (Above 10t):

    • Must hold CPCS Blue Card with Lifting Operations.

    • GPS Experience (Trimble/Topcon) is highly desirable for precision earthworks.

  3. Skilled Groundworker:

    • Must hold CSCS Skilled Worker card.

    • Expertise in deep drainage, pipe-laying, and FRC (formwork/reinforcement) is essential.

    • Dumper/Roller tickets are a significant advantage.

Requirements:
  • Vetting: All members must possess a valid Safety Critical Medical.

  • Experience: Proven track record in heavy civils or highways infrastructure (references will be required).

  • Compliance: Full PPE and a proactive attitude toward site safety protocols.

  • Logistics: Ideally local to Carlisle or the Cumbria region for a reliable commute.

Why Apply?
  • Stable Work: Long-term project pipeline with a leading regional contractor.

  • Competitive Pay: High hourly rates paid via CIS.

  • Professional Site: Work on a well-managed, safety-first infrastructure project.
