You'll be joining a major telecommunications organisation that has recently completed a significant merger. In this context, strong planning, portfolio oversight, and clear strategic storytelling are essential. Your role will sit at the heart of this integration journey, ensuring leadership has the visibility, insight, and governance needed to drive meaningful change across the merged organisation.
Your new role
As the Strategic Planning Lead, you will provide structure, clarity, and strategic alignment across a complex transformation and people change portfolio. You'll act as the central point for planning, governance, and reporting, helping the organisation navigate post‑merger integration while setting up long‑term planning disciplines for the future.Operational & Governance
- Manage the front‑door governance process using Monday.com.
- Run the demand forum, assessing request scope, capacity requirements, and stakeholder alignment.
- Deliver regular strategic updates and insights to senior leadership forums and governing bodies.
Roadmap & Portfolio Planning
- Own the Organisational Effectiveness roadmap, ensuring alignment across People teams, Change functions, and wider transformation streams.
- Lead stage‑gate governance, readiness checks, and quality assurance for major initiatives.
- Maintain oversight of risks, interdependencies, and portfolio‑wide planning frameworks.
- Continuously enhance planning tools, frameworks, and reporting structures.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential
- Strong experience in strategic planning within large, complex, or transforming organisations.
- Consulting‑style capabilities - ideally from a Big Four or similar environment - including:
- Executive‑level storytelling through decks
- High‑quality narrative creation
- Operating confidently in ambiguous, evolving environments
Highly Beneficial
- Experience within telecommunications, large‑scale transformation, or post‑merger integration.
- Exposure to people change, organisational effectiveness, or M&A‑related environments.
- Experience leading or coordinating cross‑functional planning and reporting activities.
