Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £28,250 - £33,500 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday 7.30am - 4.00pm with an earlier finish on a Friday

We are working with a specialist engineering company who undertake the manufacture and engineering works for motion systems.

Within their teams they require Assemblers and Engineers.

The role of an Assembler is to undertake the Mechanical Assembly of large mechanical systems using sockets and wrenches. These are large units and requires applicants to have worked on large Mechanical Fitter or Assembly.

The role of the Engineer is to undertake more complex fitting, machining, some grinding and inspection.

These are excellent role within a company that undertakes specialist works.

For both positions you need to have experience of:

Requirements:

Assembler - £28,250 per annum

• Excellent understanding of Mechanical Assembly / Fitting
• Ability to work to drawings and work instructions
• Able to work as part of a team
• Experience of using hand and power tools
• Any formal mechanical qualifications or training would be advantageous

Engineer – Up to £33,500 per annum

• Excellent all-round mechanical engineering skills
• Experience of Fitting / Assembly
• Knowledge of machining (mills / lathes)
• Ability to grind and using grinding tools
• Has experience of inspection and using inspection techniques
• Able to work, read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience of working to tight tolerances
• Able to use various workshop machinery and tooling
