Crynodeb
The Carers Centre has two buildings in St Helens Town Centre within walking distance, and you will be our Handyperson ensuring they are kept in good order. Responsible for completing routine maintenance, undertaking repairs and tackling a range of other practical tasks. You will be expected to be versatile, with multiple duties and responsibilities
Who are we looking for…?
We are looking for someone who is physically fit and has fluent English. The post may suit someone who is semi retired. You must be friendly and have a can do attitude.
Job Type: 20 hours per week permanent
Annual Leave: 25 days paid per year plus bank holidays
Qualifications/Ability: Must be physically fit
Hours: Generally 9am-1pm Mondays to Fridays although this can be flexible.
What will the successful applicant be doing…?
Basic Plumbing: To resolve basic problems such as replacing washers, ballcocks if faulty and repairing leaks.
Electrical: replacing bulbs, plugs, doorbells, etc.
Decorating: painting walls and ceilings, touching up skirting boards and door frames.
Repairs and Maintenance: installing cabinets, flooring tiles etc.
Other: General maintenance and advising when professional work is required
Taking deliveries of goods, moving furniture.
Cleaning: General cleaning cover when domestic worker is on annual leave/away.
