Role Overview

The Sales Consultant plays a critical role in driving branch performance, leading customer engagement. As a member of the trade
counter team, you will represent the company with professionalism and expertise, delivering outstanding customer service while
proactively identifying opportunities to grow sales and improve operational efficiency. You will be expected to demonstrate strong
product knowledge in plumbing and heating, take initiative in attracting new business, and contribute to the strategic goals of
the branch.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Sales & Customer Engagement

• Achieve and exceed branch sales and profit targets.

• Deliver exceptional service to accounts, trade, retail, and online customers.

• Proactively engage in outbound calling and customer follow-ups to generate new business.

• Quote follow ups - ensure that all quotes are reviewed, tracked, and updated as necessary.

• Driving campaign activities to all customers

• Proactively updating all online orders throughout the day and updating customers.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure high standards of product presentation

• Work closely with stock control to maximise availability and reduce slow-moving items.

• Support the management of back orders and clearance promotions.

• Oversee trade counter standards, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency.

• Assist with goods-in processes and warehouse operations, including forklift use (once trained).

Systems & Processes

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of sales, stock, warehouse, and credit systems.

• Ensure accurate cash handling and banking procedures.

• Maintain high levels of security awareness and compliance with company policies.

• Comfortable to use CRM system

The successful candidate may be required to work occasional Saturdays as part of their work schedule.

Generic Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards, including “Near Miss” reporting.

• Wear appropriate PPE and company uniform at all times.

• Follow correct procedures for absence and sickness reporting.

• Be flexible in supporting other areas of Lords Group Trading when required.

• Carry out other duties within reasonable expectations of the role.
