About the Role
The Leeds Veterinary Hospital is looking for a confident, compassionate, and adaptable Veterinary Surgeon. You’ll be involved in small animal medical and surgical care, balancing clinical best practice with owner circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality care for dogs, cats, and small animals
• Manage a diverse and challenging caseload
• Create realistic treatment plans with a welfare-first approach
• Communicate clearly with pet owners and build trust and rapport
• Collaborate with a skilled, experienced veterinary team
• Contribute to continuous improvement and clinical discussions
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
• RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon (or eligible for registration)
• Experience in small animal practice
• Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and client care abilities
• Team player with a collaborative mindset

Working Pattern & Benefits
This role offers a healthy work–life balance and flexible working:
Hours & Rota:
• 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
• Typical hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• One late shift per week (9:30am – 6:00pm)
• Weekend shifts approximately 1 in 6, based at Bradford
• No weekday out-of-hours work

• Modern veterinary hospital with separate dog & cat kennels
• Digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, orthopaedic equipment
