Our client, a renowned educational institution located in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Full-time Teacher of Drama to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspiring and guiding students in the exploration of the performing arts, fostering their creativity, and nurturing their talents.

As the Full-time Teacher of Drama, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of your students. Your lessons will cover a wide range of dramatic techniques, including improvisation, script analysis, character development, and stage production. You will be expected to keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in the field of drama education and incorporate them into your teaching approach.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the dramatic arts and a strong commitment to student learning and development. You will be expected to collaborate closely with other members of the faculty, including the performing arts department, to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience for the students.

In addition to your classroom responsibilities, you may be required to oversee and direct school productions, assist with the organisation of drama-related events and competitions, and provide guidance and support to students who are interested in pursuing further studies or careers in the performing arts.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a related field, as well as a teaching qualification or equivalent experience. You should have a proven track record of successful teaching in a similar environment, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to liaise with parents, school administrators, and the broader community. You should also be adept at using technology in the classroom, such as multimedia presentation tools and online learning platforms.

In recognition of the importance of this role, our client offers a competitive salary of £145 - £200 per day, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes pension contributions, healthcare coverage, and opportunities for professional development.

The school is also open to candidates who have worked in other roles such as English, RE or Humanities who can also teach Drama.
