Crynodeb
The post holder will support the Superintendent in the operational and clinical delivery of Nuclear Medicine services, ensuring safe, compliant and high quality patient care. The post holder will support daily service delivery including workload coordination, staff support and escalation of operational risks. They will deputise for the Superintendent when required within delegated authority. The post holder will perform Nuclear Medicine examinations to a high specialist standard and support safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals in line with local and national guidance. The post holder will support compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements including IRR17, IR(ME)R, ARSAC licensing conditions and Environment Agency permits, working with Trust radiation protection and governance teams. The post holder will support development, review and audit of clinical protocols, Local Rules, IR(ME)R procedures and departmental policies. The post holder will support training, supervision and competency assessment of staff and students and contribute to workforce development and succession planning. The post holder will contribute to audit, research, quality improvement and service development activity. The post holder will support incident reporting, investigation and risk management processes in line with Trust governance frameworks. The post holder will maintain professional registration and ongoing professional development relevant to Nuclear Medicine practice.
