Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 per year + overtime

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Maintenance Operative to join a busy and well-established site in Denham.

This is a varied and hands-on role combining forklift operation with site maintenance and facilities support duties. You’ll play an important role in helping maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment across the facility.

This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in keeping sites running smoothly, and is happy supporting multiple areas of operations.

The Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver / Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:

Operating a counterbalance forklift and electric site vehicles safely
Collecting, sorting and managing recyclable waste streams
Emptying bins and managing storage containers for cardboard, plastics, and packaging materials
Operating baling and compacting machinery
Carrying out routine safety checks on vehicles and equipment
Assisting with lifting, shifting, and moving furniture or equipment across site
Supporting the upkeep of external grounds and site cleanliness
Reporting hazards, unsafe practices, or faulty equipment
Assisting the facilities team with general housekeeping and operational tasks
Supporting adverse weather preparation and occasional out-of-hours assistance if required

What We’re Looking For
Essential
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
Full UK driving licence
Strong Health & Safety awareness
Experience operating machinery and handling heavy loads
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Desirable
Knowledge of recycling and waste management processes
Experience operating balers or compactors
Experience driving electric tow vehicles
