Contract: Seasonal (Start 21st March – End September; flexible start date)
Hours: 50week, 7 days open
Shifts: 8:30am–2/3pm & 5pm–9:30pm, or split half-day shifts
About the Role
A busy coastal caravan park on the Jurassic Coast is seeking an experienced Senior Chef to lead its kitchen for the season. The park hosts 350 vans and offers a vibrant seasonal menu including pizza, burgers, fish tacos, seafood, salads, and specials using local produce.
The Senior Chef will work independently with support from a kitchen assistant, taking creative control over delivering fresh, high-quality dishes.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook dishes for up to 200 covers, including outdoor service
• Manage kitchen workflow efficiently and maintain high hygiene standards
• Collaborate with the kitchen assistant to ensure smooth service
• Contribute to menu ideas and specials using local produce
• Maintain stock levels and manage food costs
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation
Requirements
• Proven chef experience, ideally in busy seasonal or hospitality environments
• Ability to work independently and lead a small team
• Passion for fresh, local ingredients
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods
