Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier for the right candidate)
Salary: Competitive

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Government & Politics Teacher to join a well-established college in the Bromley area. This is a full-time, permanent role, starting in September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier start for the successful candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity to teach A-Level Politics within a supportive and progressive department that is dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.

About the Department
The Government & Politics Department is committed to inspiring a genuine enthusiasm for politics among students and encouraging a lasting interest in the subject. Lessons are designed to be engaging, stimulating, and responsive to the needs of learners.

The department has a strong track record of supporting students who progress to study Politics and related subjects at university, including many who go on to Russell Group institutions. Students also benefit from a vibrant student-led Politics and Economics Society, which meets weekly and allows them to explore political topics beyond the curriculum.

To further enrich the student experience, the department organises regular educational visits, including trips to Parliament and Washington, D.C.
The team is friendly and collaborative, currently consisting of three subject specialists who are committed to sharing best practice and continuously developing their teaching. The subject is well supported with modern textbooks and subscriptions to publications such as Politics Review and Pre-chewed Politics, as well as extensive library resources in both print and digital formats.

The department follows the Edexcel A Level specification, teaching UK Government and Politics alongside US Government and Politics, with Nationalism as the optional ideology.

Politics remains one of the most popular subjects within the Sixth Form and continues to attract strong student uptake. The department consistently achieves excellent results, with the 2025 cohort achieving 100% A/A grades*.
