Summary
We are looking for a Junior Software Developer with around 1- 2 years of experience working with C# to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is keen to develop their technical skills while working on real-world software projects.
You will support the development, testing and improvement of applications while working alongside more experienced engineers and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and maintenance of applications using C# and .NET
Support senior developers with writing and reviewing code
Help troubleshoot and resolve software bugs and technical issues
Participate in testing and debugging software
Contribute to improving existing systems and features
Work with the wider team using Agile or collaborative development practices
Maintain documentation and follow development best practices.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Around 1 year experience working with C#
Basic understanding of .NET / .NET Core
Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
Experience working with APIs or web services
Basic understanding of Git or version control systems
Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
Desirable:
Experience with SQL or databases
Exposure to Azure or cloud platforms
Knowledge of JavaScript / front-end technologies
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Personal Qualities
Enthusiastic and eager to develop technical skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn from senior developers
Able to take ownership of tasks and work independently when required.
Security Clearance
This role will require candidates to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance. Candidates do not need to currently hold SC clearance but must be eligible and willing to undergo the clearance process.
Typical eligibility requirements include:
Sole British National
Right to work in the UK
Continuous UK residency for the past 5 years
Ability to pass identity, employment, financial and criminal record checks
Willingness to complete the UK Government security vetting process
