P4 Recruitment is working with a well-established provider of children’s residential services in the North West to recruit a Registered Manager for a specialist residential home in Warrington.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a service that provides nurturing, family-style care environments where young people can feel safe, supported, and valued.

About the Home

The home is a 5-bedroom detached property supporting young people aged 8–18 of mixed genders.

The service offers:

High-quality accommodation designed to provide a warm and homely atmosphere

A self-contained annex that supports young people transitioning toward semi-independent living

Communal living areas including lounges, dining space, and activity areas to encourage family-style living

The aim of the service is to create a stable, nurturing environment where young people can develop independence, confidence, and life skills.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management and performance of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing individualised care plans that meet each young person’s needs

Leading, recruiting, and developing a high-performing care team

Completing induction and development plans for staff to maintain a stable workforce

Creating systems that allow young people to share their views about their care

Allocating key workers and ensuring care plans are effectively implemented

Maintaining high standards of care in line with regulatory requirements

Managing complaints, safeguarding issues and concerns appropriately

Building strong partnerships with parents, carers and professionals

Contributing to care reviews and multi-agency meetings

Promoting a positive safeguarding culture

Managing the commercial performance and budget of the home

Driving the home towards achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings

About You

We are looking for a motivated and experienced leader who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children and young people.

Essential requirements include:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care

At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role within the last 5 years

Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (essential)

Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (preferred)

If not already held, you must be willing to enrol within 6 months

Strong knowledge of:

Children’s residential quality standards

SCCIF framework

Childcare legislation and regulatory requirements

Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience supporting children with emotional, behavioural and social needs

Full UK driving licence
