We are seeking an enthusiastic Warehouse Technician / Delivery Driver based at our NDC in Neyland, Pembrokeshire to support our busy warehouse team and ensure the provision of a professional incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers, encompassing both speed and accuracy.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS
• The role requires good physical health and ability to lift to 20kg
• Forklift license, Counterbalance & VNA forklift licence is required
• Be literate / numerate, with keen eye for detail as items need to be visually inspected when receiving and picking
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and ability to work efficiently
• Good visual memory with the ability to retain alphanumeric data.
• Proven experience in warehousing is required (Goods In, Picking, Goods Out), experience in a production environment is desirable
• Ability to follow procedures and execute tasks in a safe, timely and efficient manner whilst working on your own as well as part of a team
• Willingness to gain and develop new skills
KEY DUTIES
• Daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt of incoming goods, storage / stock control, picking and dispatch of products in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), as determined by the Warehouse Team Leader.
• Daily goods deliveries to customer and Simon Safety depot locations.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport companies.
• To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management to include space allocation, stock transfer and dealing with non-conforming and time sensitive product.
• Ensuring accurate and periodic cycle counts and stock takes are completed, and that stock inventories are accurate.
• Ensuring stock rotation and that the quality of the product and service within the Warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
• Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.
• Adhering to the Company Health and Safety Policy, and maintain a safe working environment – ensure the forklift trucks are operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Actively work towards Zero Errors.
• Actively work towards Zero Losses.
• Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
Full training on our warehouse system will be provided. There is an opportunity to progress within the role as a career path reflecting skills and experience has been established. Working time is 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00
