We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Higher Clerical Assistant on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £17.45 per hour

Summary:

The Higher Clerical Assistant provides essential administrative and reception support to the North and South Locality Social Work Teams, the Personal Adviser Service, and the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeker Service. Based at the Hafan Gobaith Office, this role serves as the primary "front door" for the public and professionals, ensuring the smooth delivery of social care services through effective office management, finance support, and data coordination.

Responsibilities:

Provide a full-time professional reception service, meeting and greeting members of the public and professionals face-to-face and by telephone.
Process invoices, BACS payments, and Purchasing Card transactions.
Update spreadsheets and compile statistical information or caseload printouts as requested
Provide general clerical support, including typing, scanning, photocopying, and maintaining effective filing systems.
Adhere to the organization's Equal Opportunities Policy and principles of equality.
Essentials:

Proven experience working in a busy office environment is required.
Familiarity with client record systems (CareFirst) and document management is highly desirable
Experience in basic financial processing, such as petty cash or invoice recording.
Experience dealing with the public, ideally within a social care or sensitive setting.
