Job Title: Permanent Energy Assessor
Location: Scotland (Remote)
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete OCDEA Assessments evaluating new builds.
- Conduct energy assessments using SAP 10 methodology.
- Produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) in accordance with current regulations.
- Calculate the Dwelling Emissions Rate (DER) and Dwelling Delivered Energy Rate (DDER) for the proposed dwelling. i.e. the U-values, air
infiltration, heating system, etc.
- Apply CIBSE TM 23 methodology for testing airtightness.
- Assess and report on overheating risk as per Standard 3.28.
- Ensure compliance with Section 6 of the Scottish Building Standards for domestic dwellings.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations for energy efficiency improvements.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Energy Assessor.
- Certification in SAP10 and OCDEA.
- In-depth knowledge of EPCs and relevant regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with CIBSE TM 23 testing methodology.
- Understanding of Standard 3.28 regarding overheating risk.
- Competence in Section 6 compliance for Scottish domestic dwellings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
