Position: Pre-School Assistant
Required from: 13th April 2026
Contract Type: Part-Time, Zero Hours Contract (hours offered according to needs of the organisation)
Annual Salary: Grade 4, points 5 to 6 (Salary: £24,804 to £24,999, paid pro-rata for hours worked).

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a caring, motivated and flexible individual to join our friendly team as a Pre School Care Assistant within our newly refurbished early years provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting the development, wellbeing and early learning of young children and looking for an opportunity to gain further experience in this area.
As this is a zero hours contract, working hours will vary depending on the needs of the setting.
As a Pre School Care Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality play and learning experiences for young children, helping to ensure they feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.
We are looking for individuals who are:
• Passionate about supporting children’s early development and wellbeing.
• A skilled team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work flexibly according to need.
• Able to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Willing to undertake training related to early years practice and child development.
• A relevant Level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential.
