Description
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the role of Commissioner, a pivotal position within our organization that will drive the strategic direction and operational excellence of our initiatives. As a Commissioner, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of programs and services, ensuring they align with our mission and objectives. This role requires a visionary leader who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and the public, to promote engagement and foster partnerships that advance our goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and decision-making skills, enabling them to interpret data and trends to develop informed policies and initiatives. In addition to guiding program development, the Commissioner will also be tasked with representing our organization at various events and meetings, advocating for our interests, and ensuring that our objectives are effectively communicated to all relevant audiences. A commitment to public service and community enhancement is essential, along with the ability to navigate complex political landscapes and address challenges with creativity and diplomacy. Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives.
Lead and oversee the administration of programs and services within the organization.
Engage and collaborate with community stakeholders, public officials, and partner organizations.
Monitor and evaluate program performance to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Advocate for organizational needs and represent the organization at public meetings and events.
Prepare and present reports on organizational activities, outcomes, and future plans to the board and stakeholders.
Lead staff and volunteer teams, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, preferably in Health and/or
Social Care; or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in a leadership role within public service or non-profit management.
Proven experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Strong understanding of governmental processes and community engagement strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Skills in data analysis and the ability to utilize data-driven approaches for decision-making.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
