Your new company
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teachers to join Hays for long‑term placements within mainstream and specialist settings. This role is ideal for teachers who thrive in supportive, inclusive environments and are committed to helping pupils with a range of additional needs reach their full potential.
We work with a number of SEN settings across Horsham, Crawley and the surrounding areas and regularly get in a range of different roles, both temporary and permanent. We will try and fit work in around your availability and support you in finding the best roles that allign with your experience.
Your new role
- Delivering high‑quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with SEND
- Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Using personalised strategies to support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or complex needs
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- Experience working with SEND pupils (school or specialist setting)
- Strong behaviour‑management and communication skills
- A positive, resilient, and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
