TeacherActive is proud to be working with local authorities and families across Warwickshire, and we are currently seeking dedicated SEND Tutors to provide 1:1 support for students who require alternative or additional educational provision.
These tutoring roles are ideal for experienced educators or support staff who are confident delivering personalised learning sessions to students with a range of additional needs outside of a traditional classroom setting.
Tutors will be supporting learners of different ages and abilities, including those with Autism/ASD, ADHD, SEMH needs, learning difficulties, and students who may be out of mainstream education. Sessions are typically delivered on a 1:1 basis, either in the home, community settings, or local learning environments.
The successful SEND Tutor will have:
Experience working 1:1 with children or young people

Previous experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
•
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
•
A patient, adaptable, and creative approach to supporting learning
Formal teaching qualifications are not essential; however, relevant experience working with SEND students is required.
