TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND school in Selly Oak, and we are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the team on a short-term basis, with the potential for the role to extend into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
The school promotes independence, encourages inclusive learning, and provides a nurturing environment for pupils with additional needs.
This role will involve supporting pupils across a range of Key Stages with needs including Autism/ASD, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), SEMH, and challenging behaviours. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
•
A relevant qualification (Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, Health & Social Care, or similar) or equivalent experience
•
Strong communication and teamwork skills
•
A patient, positive, and proactive approach to supporting pupils
