Job objectives and responsibilities
-To support the delivery of Hard facilities management, contract key performance requirements, including but not limited to Pre Planned Maintenance, Reactive and remedial work orders
-Support other trades as required, take on other tasks identified in order to maintain delivery, such as contractor support, holiday cover
-Stop unsafe actions, report hazard observations, check safety equipment and assist safe delivery at all times, stop work if it is unsafe to proceed, seek advice
-Be proactive, identify synergies and implement changes to improve efficiencies
Main duties
-Complete all tasks and paperwork in a prompt manner, detail actions taken, works outstanding
-Carry out maintenance/ fault finding on mechanical motors, compressors, generators, pumps, air handling units and extractors including local exhaust ventilation systems, doors and other mechanical equipment as required
-Work within the team to aid delivery, communicate and support other trades as required
-Attend tool box talks, review risk assessments and method statements, check task instructions, complete asset change forms, submit paper work for approval such as overtime requests
-Maintain your training records, such as Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association (Mobile Access Tower Scaffolding), Fire training, annual Risk Assessments and Method Statements review and any other contract requirements
-Will include swimming pool plant room, sewage treatment facility and plumbing tasks and power generation plant, training will be provided such as legionella and pool plant operation
Person Specification
-Proven record of experience of mechanical systems
-Be able to communicate with peers and the management team, in a polite and positive manner
-Take on extra tasks training as required
-Ability to work unsupervised

-Must obtain MoD basic level security clearance, Ascension Island Government eVisa, Medical and dental fitness certification
