We're looking for a Training Manager who will spearhead our drive to produce the best asbestos surveyors and site analysts in the industry, ensuring active development and motivation of trainees from interview, through work‑shadowing, examination, authorisation and audit, in an efficient, timely and quality‑focused manner.

Role Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage the development journey of trainee asbestos surveyors and site analysts from recruitment through to full authorisation.

-Oversee and coordinate all training, assessment, and audit‑related activities to ensure trainees progress efficiently and to the highest standard.

-Liaise closely with Regional Managers, Technical Managers and Auditors to ensure training standards, timelines and expectations are consistently met.

-Contribute to the maintenance and continual improvement of UKAS accreditation through robust training processes and quality compliance.

-Utilise Mitie's industry‑leading training facilities and BOHS trainers to support high‑quality learning delivery.

-Maintain personal authorisation status as a Surveyor and Site Analyst to ensure training remains compliant with evolving legislative and UKAS standards.

-Undertake additional quality/technical team tasks as necessary to support accreditation requirements.

-Travel nationally as required, including occasional overnight stays.

Required Qualifications:
-BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualified (or equivalent), or CCP (CoCA).

-Strong knowledge of asbestos surveying across domestic, commercial and/or industrial sectors.

-In‑depth knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248.

-Strong understanding of site analytical and removal practices.

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

-Proven experience in training and mentoring new staff.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Auditing experience including on‑site witness audits, 5% reinspection and desktop audits.

-Full UK driving licence.
