We're looking for a Holiday Cottage Cleaner to join the holiday cottage team in the Northern Lake District.
Hours: 6 hours per week. The main changeover days are Friday, Saturday or Monday however, short breaks mean that flexibility would be required as changeover days can also fall on other days of the week, and you would have the opportunity to work additional hours. We don’t work Sunday and rotas are issued in advance. You’ll need to be available between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm (there may be flexibility with the finish time if you have prior commitments). Free parking is available.
Salary: £12.75 per hour - The advertised salary for this role will be in effect from 1st April.
Duration: Permanent
Internally within the National Trust, you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
Holidays in the Lake District continue to be very popular all year round. Millbeck Towers is located in Millbeck, a hamlet on the outskirts of Keswick and offers the benefits of working in beautiful surroundings, whilst making a difference to someone’s holiday. Millbeck Towers is our largest house in the Lake District portfolio sleeping 12 guests and the successful candidate would work as one of a team of three staff on changeovers days.

What you'll be doing
On changeover days, you’ll make sure that everything’s pristine and ready for the next guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for anything that’s not as it should be, and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. If you need to, you’ll also replace any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided for all teams, and extra measures are in place to protect staff.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what’s possible in this role.
