Crynodeb

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while working within a live school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all on-site activities throughout the steel frame extension programme

  • Coordinating subcontractors and site labour to maintain programme targets

  • Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety regulations, particularly within a live education environment

  • Overseeing steel frame installation, structural works, and subsequent trades

  • Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings

  • Monitoring quality control and ensuring works meet specification

  • Liaising with the Project Manager, client representatives, and consultants

  • Managing site documentation, RAMS, and progress reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on steel frame construction projects

  • Previous experience delivering school or education sector projects preferred

  • Strong understanding of structural steel packages and sequencing of works

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme deadlines

Essential Certifications

  • SMSTS

  • CSCS (Black/Gold Card preferred)

  • First Aid at Work

  • Asbestos Awareness (desirable)
